GRAiNEY PICTURES has assembled a highly experienced and diverse team of writers and filmmakers to develop exciting new properties in the scripted space. With GRAiNEY PICTURES' long track record in documentary, we are particularly strong in bio-pics and historically influenced films. Our team is also highly experienced in both comedy and sports themed genres, with a flare for condensing detailed research, into highly entertaining and provocative stories.
Currently, GRAiNEY Pictures is co-producing the first scripted film to be set in the world of competitive wake boarding with The Evans-Masters company. Recent scripted credits include the narrative short film Meena in conjunction with the PBS \ ITVS series based on best selling novel Half The Sky. The Sibs Wrote the adaptation and Directed with Lucy Liu. The film was shot in India (in Hindi), with GPixer Director of Photography Hugh Bell, producer Jamie Gordon (SwimFan & In The Bedroom), Mikaela Beardsley, Kerry Girvin, Kevin Chinoy, Jamin O'Brien and our Indian strategic partner Harish Amin (The Darjeeling Limited). The Bollywood cast included Tanishhtha Chatterjee (Brick Lane).
